Photos from Omaha

I've posted a new album of photos from my recent trip to Omaha, and blogged at the Femmes Fatales about the writing/photo connection.

Apart from that--I'm deeply immersed in writing the draft of the next Meg book--next after The Penguin Who Knew Too Much, which comes out in August--and coming up for air only rarely.  Sooner or later, I'll procrastinate from the writing with a few blog entries, but for now. . .

Great photos! Especially the penguins and the flamengos. And the vigilant and lazy mercats were so cute!!!

I got my picture taken with a couple of sea lions a week or so ago. Neat to be so close to such beautiful animals. I think they are bribed with fish to be nice to the "tourists". At some point, I've got to set up a web site so I can put up a few pictures.

I'm really looking forward to reading "The Penguin Who Knew Too Much". I think all of your books are great, but I especially like "We'll always have parrots". Something about the campy TV show, the fans, the parrots, and that tiger. :)

You're working on the next book? I'm intrigued! :) I've recently discovered your books and I've now read the whole series. Very few books make me laugh out loud, but yours sure do. Such hilarious, colorful characters are hard to find in books nowdays.

I am anxiously awaiting the release of Pengin in a few days!

I just finished reading "The Penguin Who Knew Too Much". It's great! I was fascinated by the animals, especially the llamas humming.

By the way, it said that Robert didn't take the bar exam. I thought that in "Crouching Buzzard, Leaping Loon", it said that he took it and passed it the first time.

That twist at the end was great! I won't mention it because I don't want to spoil it for anyone reading this blog that haven't read it yet.

In both instances, there's a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged, and it is in such twilight that we all must be aware of change in the air, however slight, lest we become victims of the darkness."
