I'm feeling mellower than I was a few minutes ago, because I just got the latest Calligraphic Button Newsletter from Nancy Lebovitz of NancyButtons.com. If you can think of a subject, she's probably got a snarky but funny button about it. If she doesn't, give her the text and she'll make one for you. And she sends out an email newsletter from time to time, letting you know which conventions she'll be attending, and they're worth reading because she usually includes the slogans from some of her newest buttons. From the new batch, I particularly like:
It's not that I'm trying to attract attention. It's just that I have poor impulse control and I went to art school.
We should have known better than to keep upgrading the cat.
Which reminds me that before taking off for Left Coast Crime perhaps I should figure out where I put my favorite button from Nancy:
I'm not shy--I'm studying my prey.
And now let's see if I can get back to work, instead of succumbing to the temptation to browse the humongous catalogue at Nancy's site.
